In America, the “food is love, love is food” theory is held by many. So it stands to reason that after you have prepared a lovely dinner for your family, you might want to share some of it with your poochie-pooh or kitty girl.

Consider bringing the pet into your home a few days before Christmas, so she gets as much attention as she needs and starts to get settled in before the big holiday. Puppies and kittens like to find a good place to hide and rest. If you bring your kids’ new best friend home a few days early, they’ll be better equipped to handle the excitement of Christmas morning.

What I would like to offer is a little advice to choose healthy treats for your four-footed best friend at the holidays or any time of the year. It’s really sad that “healthy” doesn’t come across as fun, or tasty to we humans. I mean, I LOVE fresh fruits and veggies, but when I say that to anyone, I seldom get the same reaction as when I divulge my chocolate of choice. That being said, our puppies aren’t really as finicky as we humans are.

Your Dog Will Love These Healthy and Safe Treats
While your dog may LOVE to chew bones, due to choking risks and the risk of bones become lodged in the bowl – or, worse, perforating the bowel, bones are simply not a good treat for dogs.
You may have also heard that giving your dog bones or [...]
