Stinky Smooches!

My Vet Says My Pet Needs His Teeth Cleaned

One of the best things about being a parent to the best dogs and cats in the world is the snuggling, right? I mean, a rousing game of fetch is awesome (the best fetcher I ever met was Meno the Siamese cat!) and having a walking companion is really great too, but nothing tops the cuddling. Except, of course, when those cuddles are ruined by bad breath.

If your pets’ bad breath bothers you, you aren’t alone – Bad breath is the number one complaint of pet owners! Not chewing, shedding, or even emptying the litter box.

Chances are, if your pets’ breath is bothering you, you’ve mentioned it to your veterinarian. If so, he has likely suggested brushing your pets’ teeth, or possibly even bringing the pet in for professional dental care.

So … Have you ever tried to brush your cats’ teeth? How did she like it? How did YOU like it? I’m willing to bet it wasn’t too much fun for either of you.

How about your dog? Have you ever tried to brush his teeth? If so, I’m willing to bet that wasn’t much fun, either. Most dogs like to chomp at the flavored toothpaste, so your fingers are definitely in danger!

While professional cleanings are great for pets’ teeth and overall health, veterinary dental cleanings are a complicated procedure involving anesthesia. Pets are extremely susceptible to the dangers of anesthesia.

Thankfully there’s a much easier way to kiss your pets’ breath good-bye!

You see, the reason most pets have bad breath is that the bacteria in their mouths is out of balance. When certain bacteria gain a stronger foothold in your pets’ mouths than others, they cause sulfur gases that makes your pets’ breath smell.

By simply adding pet oral care probiotics to your pets’ food, you can strike the right bacterial balance in your pets’ mouths and kiss that bad breath good-bye!
